Haxall Automated Setpoint Adjustment
Budget: $100 – $5,000 USD
The project aims to develop a dynamic chilled water system optimizer program using the Haxall open-source IoT framework. This program will intelligently adjust key chilled water system setpoints (like supply and condenser water temperatures) in real-time to maximize energy efficiency while maintaining building comfort.
A crucial aspect is finding developers with specific expertise in Haxall, its Axon scripting language, and the Project Haystack data modeling standard, as these are specialized skills. To facilitate development, a Haxall demo environment will be provided.
The key deliverables include:
* A core Haxall program with a sophisticated optimization algorithm that learns from operational data and adapts to changing conditions (e.g., outdoor temperature, building load).
* A user-friendly interface/graphics for enabling/disabling the system, setting operational limits (e.g., min/max setpoints), and visualizing real-time performance metrics (e.g., energy consumption, chiller efficiency).
* An additional features module to calculate and display quantifiable before-and-after cost savings (based on adjustable energy tariffs) and emissions reductions (using adjustable emissions factors).
The ultimate goal is to reduce energy consumption, lower operational costs, and decrease the environmental impact of chilled water systems in commercial and industrial facilities.
