§179D Energy Modeling Compliance -- 2

Job ID: 40187061

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

I am looking for an experienced energy modeler to build a whole-building simulation that will let my commercial project qualify for the §179D tax deduction. The sole objective is to document compliance with ASHRAE Standard 90.1, so every assumption, input and output must be defensible under that guideline.

You will receive architectural and MEP drawings along with occupancy data and schedules. From there, I need you to:

• Create both baseline and proposed models in EnergyPlus, eQUEST, IES-VE or a similar DOE-approved engine
• Iterate until the model demonstrates the required performance threshold for §179D
• Generate the final compliance report, input files and calculation spreadsheets ready for third-party review by a licensed engineer

Acceptance criteria
• Modeled results align with ASHRAE 90.1 Appendix G methodology
• All simulation files are submitted in an editable format
• Final documentation clearly states the predicted kBtu/ft² reduction and lighting power density, with screenshots or tables that make cross-checking simple

If you have previous commercial §179D experience and can turn this around quickly, I’d like to hear how you would approach the project and your expected timeline.
