Data Protection & MySQL Encryption for Proclee.com
Budget: ₹37,500 – ₹75,000 INR
We need to secure our proprietary MySQL database (millions of rows collected over 5+ years: court cases, public notices, auction notices, planning layouts, RERA approvals). Our site runs on PHP (CodeIgniter) with a dedicated Bluehost server. Only the founder has DB access with 2FA, but we want to add strong protection against hacking or data leaks.
Work required:
Enable MySQL data-at-rest encryption (tablespace/keyring or equivalent).
Set up encrypted backup system (backups must be password-protected / encrypted).
Secure database connection between PHP app and MySQL (TLS/SSL).
Review CodeIgniter app for common security issues (SQL injection, uploads, authentication).
Provide clear documentation (how encryption works, how to restore DB and backups, how to rotate keys).
Important:
You will work with table structures and dummy data only. No access to our real production data.
Master encryption keys must stay with us, not with any freelancer.
Deliverables must include tested scripts/code and documentation.

Hands-on with MySQL 5.7/8 encryption and backup security.
Strong understanding of key management and server hardening
