I need a para Legal trained in employment Law
Budget: £1,500 – £3,000 GBP
I worked as a clerical officer for the Croydon Community Health Trust for 19 years in total, the
final 8 of which were spent as part of a team that provided administrative support to a health
visiting team and served as a first point of contact for local community parents of
children/patients.
In April 2020, I observed that a colleague was being mistreated and subjected to unfair
treatment by the managers and team leaders who had recently taken their positions. I could
see my colleague was becoming increasingly unhappy and distressed. I offered my support to
my colleague who confided in me that she was being victimised and subjected to extreme bullying and harassment. The victimisation of my colleague continued and grew worse, which caused stress and anxiety for my colleague and eventually forced her to take time from work. My colleague found it intolerable to continue within her position and lodged a grievance within the Trust on 22/04/2020. An internal investigation was commenced within the Trust on 17/12/2020, but this investigation was prolonged, and the situation was not resolved and my colleague was forced to remain the same situation being victimised and discriminated against and which got much worse resulting in her suffering hardship, stress and anxiety and was forced to submit her resignation on the 10/06/2021. She consulted ACAS and eventually lodged a claim to the Employment Tribunal on 21 May 2021. I of course confirmed I would be supporting her case. I started to notice that the same people who had victimised and treated my colleague unfairly had begun to target me. They started by calling me to meetings, accusing me of wrongdoing, issuing me with Trust policies, and raising a Datix (a Datix is a log for serious incidents within the Trust that is circulated to all managers within the Trust) against me. I was never told what the incident was, despite repeatedly asking for the reason for the Datix. I struggled in my position and had a great deal of stress and anxiety as the victimisation and intimidation increased. I too had to consult my GP for assistance. I also raised an internal grievance and sought advice and guidance from the Trust's Freedom to Speak Up. The grievance was not dealt with within a reasonable time and the unfair treatment and victimisation continued. (As what happened with my colleague's complaint). My condition had gotten so terrible that I was feeling stressed and anxious and became too ill to go to work and so my doctor suggested me to take time off work. I called ACAS for guidance since it was taking so long to resolve or handle the internal grievance. ACAS attempted to remedy the situation by calling the Croydon Health Trust, but the organisation also had trouble getting in touch with the appropriate people. I lodged a claim to the Employment Tribunal on 17 June 2021
Full hearings been listed for 5 days from 3rd to 7th July 2023.
