Embroidered Abaya Designer Needed
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I’m developing a new modest-wear line built around beautifully embroidered abayas and I need a fashion designer who can translate my vision into factory-ready material. The focus is exclusively on abayas—no dresses or hijabs for this project—and I want each piece to stand out through tasteful, well-placed embroidery rather than heavy embellishment.
You’ll take the lead from initial mood-boarding right through to production files, so experience creating modest silhouettes, choosing suitable lightweight fabrics, and specifying embroidery threads and stitch counts is essential. Digital sketches in Adobe Illustrator (or a similar tool you’re comfortable with) work best for me, but I’m open to Clo3D or Procreate if that’s where you shine.
Deliverables
• 3 unique embroidered abaya concepts with colour palettes
• Detailed technical flats and measurements for each design
• Embroidery artwork files (vector) with placement maps and stitch details
• Fabric, trim, and thread recommendations ready for sourcing
• Two rounds of revisions to refine fit and ornamentation
