HYPERION CHARGERS PRIVATE LIMITED
OVERVIEW
Our aim is to be a part of the shift form traditional IC engines to modern EV engines by being one of the leading OEMs in the industry. We work with our partners through our advanced portfolio of sustainable energy solutions, elevating the automobile sector. And as a promising business we aim to be INDIA’s leading and most open EV charging network. We are tirelessly working towards make EV charging Infrastructure more accessible. We are also developing and delivering the technologies that support it.
We have already developed a 7.4 kw ac charger with the stm32f207 board. The different hardware and PCBs for the product is already designed. And it has been tested on the different fault conditions. But due to the unavailability of the chips we need to switch the controller. So, we would like to hire a firmware developer who can develops the code for our existing system.
What work had been done:
following parts of the product has been developed till now
• The firmware development using STM32F-207 is already Completed
• Designing of the Power supply unit is completed
• Designing of the Power Monitoring Unit Hardware which includes current sensor and voltage sensor are completed
• Designing of the LED Driver hardware is completed.
• Designing of the relay driver is completed
• Designing of the Control Pilot circuit which is responsible for the control pilot signal is completed but it needs to be interface with the firmware.
• Testing and validation of the existing system on the different fault condition.
• PCB design of the existing system.
What work needs to be done:
• Design and develop a firmware for the 7.4 kw AC EV chargers as per the standard AIS 138.
• Selection of the Micro controller Unit based on the requirements and availability in the market.
• Interface the controller with the Control Pilot Circuit and develop a code for the control pilot unit.
• Interface the controller with the power monitoring unit and sense the current and voltage value and give the feedback to the control pilot unit
• Generate the PWM signal of 1KHz frequency which is given to the control pilot unit.
• The biggest function is to read the voltage and current from the Power Monitoring Unit and change the duty cycle of the PWM signal considering the maximum current of the system.
• The feedback of the control pilot in the form of voltage should be read and control the functioning of the charger. Every voltage range will have a particular stage associated with it. Which would require the microcontrollers to assign different functions to the hardware like opening or closing of the relays.
• The protection such as voltage and current protection should be added
• The basic security such as passcode or RFID Tag should be implemented with the use of controller.
Project timeline:
• MCU Selection-1st week

• Interfacing the controller with following circuit
Power measuring unit-2nd week
Control Pilot unit-3rd week
LED driver-3rd week
Basic security-4th week
Fault condition-4th week
Testing and verification of each function-5th week

Expected Outcome:
The developed firmware should be good enough for the commercial ev charging And all the criteria as per standard AIS 138 should be followed. Future support needs to be provided if there is any problem in the system.
