Wearable Firmware Intern Support

Budget: $172 – $258 USD

I need a project-based intern who can jump into our embedded codebase and help keep our medical monitoring devices moving forward. You will focus on:

• Developing new features for the wearable’s sensor data acquisition, processing, and secure transmission chain.
• Testing and debugging existing modules to ensure stability across BLE, Wi-Fi, and MQTT links.
• Optimising performance and power efficiency so battery-life targets are met.

Most of your time will be spent writing and refining C/C++ firmware that runs on the wearable, the in-home gateway, and their shared communication layers. Expect hands-on work with Nordic and ESP32 toolchains, FreeRTOS tasks, over-the-air update prep, power-mode tuning, and profiling.

Additional responsibilities
• Help with hardware bring-up and troubleshooting using scopes, logic analysers, and J-Link.
• Document every firmware change, test procedure, and result in line with our ISO-13485-style quality rules.
• Coordinate with backend and mobile app engineers to keep data flows seamless from device to cloud.

Hybrid setup
Two days a week on-site in Dasmariñas, Cavite for bench testing and team stand-ups; the rest remote.

Expected deliverables
1. A working firmware build with the agreed feature set enabled.
2. A concise test and power-profile report.
3. Updated documentation committed to our repo and Confluence space.
