We are seeking an experienced hardware engineer to design and prototype a discreet, ultra‑compact wearable emergency device for woman. The device should function as a piece of jewelry while incorporating an accelerometer, capacitive touch sensor, microcontroller with Bluetooth Low Energy (nRF52832 or similar), and an optional GSM/NB‑IoT module (SIM800C or equivalent) for backup communication. It must be small (≤ 1.5 cm diameter, < 8 mm thick), lightweight (≤ 12 g), and designed for low‑power operation with a Li‑Po battery and wireless charging coil. The final product must connect via BLE to a mobile app and trigger alerts or emergency calls when activated. Deliverables include a complete bill of materials, schematic and PCB design, firmware, prototype assembly, and collaboration with a mobile developer to ensure seamless integration with the app.

Required Skills:

Strong background in electronic engineering and embedded systems, particularly in designing compact, low‑power devices.

Expertise in PCB design, especially for flexible and miniaturized layouts.

Experience with microcontrollers (nRF52832 or similar), Bluetooth Low Energy programming, and GSM/NB‑IoT modules (e.g., SIM800C) including AT commands and integration.

Ability to integrate sensors such as accelerometers (e.g., LIS3DH) and capacitive touch sensors.

Knowledge of power management, including Li‑Po batteries and wireless (Qi) charging circuits.

Proficiency in firmware development (C/C++ or embedded RTOS) and optimization for power efficiency.

Familiarity with product miniaturization techniques, IPX5–IPX7 waterproofing, and enclosure design suitable for wearable jewelry.
