The Smart Device Health Monitoring Unit is an embedded systems project designed to monitor the operational status and health of multiple connected devices through UART communication. The controller periodically polls each device, detects communication failures, displays system status and alarms on an OLED screen, and stores important events in an SD card for future analysis. In case of a device fault or communication timeout, the system generates visual and audible alerts using LEDs and a buzzer while also transmitting status information to a monitoring server through Ethernet or Wi-Fi. The project requires hands-on experience in embedded C programming, communication protocols, event logging, and system integration.
