Skin-Facing camera Health Smartwatch Design

Job ID: 40367750

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I need a complete electronic design for a next-generation health-monitoring smartwatch whose signature element is a high-resolution micro camera mounted flush to the wrist side of the case. That camera will analyse the wearer’s skin to extract deeper, image-based health insights beyond the usual heart-rate and SpO₂ readings. I am open to your proposals on exactly which metrics image processing can reveal, provided they are scientifically sound and can be handled by an embedded processor in real time.

Core hardware requirements
• High-resolution skin-facing camera, paired with a wearable-class microprocessor powerful enough to process or compress the image stream on-device.
• Minimum 16 GB on-board storage for captured data.
• Bluetooth for data sync, a vibrant TFT display for UI, magnetic snap-in battery charging, plus a USB port that lets me upload new firmware or diagnostic tools.

Scope of work
You will take the concept from architecture to board files: component selection, schematic capture, multilayer PCB layout, enclosure-aware routing, power management, and camera integration strategy. Please balance size, battery life, and heat dissipation while safeguarding signal integrity for the high-speed camera lines.

Preferred toolchains are Altium Designer, KiCad, or Eagle—use whichever allows you to supply production-ready outputs.

Deliverables (acceptance criteria)
1. Complete, error-free schematic (PDF + source).
2. Gerber and drill files ready for fabrication.
3. Bill of materials with part numbers and supplier links.
4. Pin-clean board layout that passes standard DFM checks.
5. Brief firmware stub or reference code proving camera capture, storage write, and Bluetooth transfer all operate as designed.

If any step requires trade-offs—sensor resolution versus processor load, for example—flag them early so we can decide together. Once I have the files in hand I’ll move straight to prototyping, so accuracy and clarity are essential.
