Senior SCA Engineer for ChipWhisperer Project

Job Title: Senior Hardware Security Engineer – Side-Channel Analysis (ChipWhisperer Husky)
We are seeking an experienced Hardware Security Engineer with proven expertise in hardware side-channel analysis (SCA) to take over and complete an advanced hardware security project.
The project is already well underway and requires an engineer who can quickly understand the existing design, continue development, and deliver a customized solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of an existing side-channel analysis project and complete the remaining development.
- Work with ChipWhisperer Husky and associated capture hardware to perform power and electromagnetic (EM) measurements for security evaluation.
- Review, troubleshoot, and improve the existing hardware design and test setup.
- Integrate hardware, firmware, and software components into a reliable end-to-end platform.
- Validate system performance and resolve technical issues during testing.
- Prepare clear technical documentation and support project handover.
Required Skills:
- Extensive experience with ChipWhisperer Husky or comparable side-channel analysis platforms.
- Strong background in electronics, embedded hardware, and PCB debugging.
- Experience with EM and power measurement techniques for hardware security evaluation.
- Proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and laboratory instrumentation.
- Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and firmware debugging.
- Ability to understand and continue an existing engineering project with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Python-based automation and data analysis.
- Familiarity with FPGA-based capture platforms.
- Knowledge of cryptographic implementations and hardware security evaluation.
- Experience designing or modifying custom PCBs and hardware prototypes.
Project Status:
Existing hardware and software foundation already developed. The primary responsibility is to review the current implementation, identify any remaining issues, complete development, validate the system, prepare it for production or research use. Additionally, firmware for the hardware must be completed along with minor changes to the hardware design.
