About The Role
MedSolutions Technology and Innovation Inc. is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Firmware Engineer to join our core product team. This is a permanent, full-time position to lead the ongoing development of our new connected health ecosystem: the VSynC Band (a BLE-enabled wearable) and the VSynC Gateway (a Wi-Fi/BLE hub).
We are looking for a long-term owner of our firmware. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling the embedded software that powers our devices. You will solve complex low-level problems, optimize for power and performance, and play a critical role in developing the next generation of our products.

Roles & Responsibilities
Firmware Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, low-power firmware for our ARM Cortex-M-based wearable (VSynC Band).
Wireless Protocols: Implement and manage the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) stack, including GATT services, profiles, and secure pairing.
Gateway Firmware: Develop robust firmware for the Wi-Fi/BLE gateway, managing data aggregation from the band and secure communication to our cloud backend.
Driver Development: Write and maintain low-level drivers for peripherals and sensors (e.g., IMU, PPG heart rate sensors).
Optimization: Lead ongoing efforts in power optimization and memory management, critical for battery-powered devices.
Debugging: Act as the team's expert in troubleshooting complex, system-level bugs using JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol sniffers.
RTOS Environment: Work effectively within a real-time operating system (RTOS) like FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
Product Lifecycle: Participate in the full product lifecycle, from R&D and prototyping to new feature development and OTA updates for devices in the field.

Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in embedded systems and firmware development.
Language: Expert proficiency in C for embedded systems. (C++ is a plus).
Wireless Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). You must understand the full stack (GATT, profiles, connections).
MCU Expertise: Extensive experience with 32-bit microcontrollers.
RTOS Experience: Proven experience with at least one RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr).
Hardware Skills: Hands-on experience with peripherals, sensor integration, and board bring-up.
Debugging Tools: Proficient with debugging tools (JTAG/SWD, logic analyzers, power profilers).
Mindset: A strong sense of ownership and a passion for building reliable, high-quality products.
Bonus Points (Nice to Have):
Experience with Wi-Fi firmware (e.g., ESP32) for the gateway.
Background in medical devices or health/fitness wearables.
Familiarity with secure boot and Over-the-Air (OTA) firmware updates.
