Senior Electronic Engineer - Pipe Inspection Robot
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
Job Title: Senior Electronic Engineer - AHD Video & Robotics (STM32/Mageia 9)
Project Overview:
We are looking for a high-level Electronic Engineer to take over and complete a Pipe Inspection Robot project. The previous developer failed to understand the requirements for Analog High Definition (AHD) video and industrial-grade isolation. We need a professional to finalize the schematics, PCB layout, and firmware.
System Architecture:
Robot Unit: STM32G431 based. 4x 24V Drive Motors (DRV8871), 2x 5V Pan/Tilt Motors, IMU (Body Balance), 512Hz Emitter.
Suitcase Control Unit: RS-485 Master, Dual Joystick (B7) Interface, Reel Encoder, and Integrated Video Capture.
Communication: 100-meter tether (Twisted Pair).
Technical Requirements (Must-Have Expertise):
Video: Deep knowledge of AHD 1080p (Sony IMX322). Integration of AHD-to-USB UVC Bridges (NVP2441 / TP2825 or similar). NO HDMI solutions.
Signal Integrity: Design of Integrated Video Baluns and Galvanic Isolation (DC-DC Isolated Converters) to separate camera ground from motor noise.
Motor Control: Implementation of hardware current limiting (Stall Protection) and independent PWM control.
Linux/OS: Migration and optimization of existing control software for Mageia 9 (x86_64). Experience with GStreamer and V4L2 for low-latency video is critical.
Deliverables:
Review and fix existing Schematics (Robot & Suitcase must be separate projects).
Complete PCB Layout (Gerbers, BOM, Pick&Place).
STM32 Firmware and Mageia 9 Software porting.
Note: If you don't know the difference between AHD and HDMI, please do not apply. We need someone who understands industrial noise isolation and long-distance analog video transmission.
