STM32F767 Protocol Firmware Expert

Job ID: 39860720

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I am ready to push new STM32F767 hardware into production and need a senior-level firmware engineer to take charge of the embedded software. The immediate focus is fixing, real-time data exchange over RS422, RS485, and DMX / Art-Net / sACN. GPIO handling and A/D sampling.

We have code from a older version of the software which requires bug-fixing to match the output of the newer version.

What will make you successful here is deep, hands-on experience—ten years or more—with C++ on ARM microcontrollers, familiarity with Atmel toolchains, and a background that spans both firmware and board-level design. You should already have a complete development environment; I can ship the target hardware for validation and regression testing.

Because this project involves interactive debugging with my in-house team, I need you available during Pacific Standard Time work hours for code reviews and live tests. Automatic or generic bids are filtered out immediately, so please outline your direct experience with RS422, RS485, or DMX family protocols and describe a past project where you achieved deterministic, real-time throughput.

Deliverables
• Production-ready firmware for STM32F767 providing real-time RS422, RS485, and DMX / Art-Net / sACN communication
• Source code in well-structured C++ with clear inline documentation
• Build scripts or project files compatible with your preferred IDE or toolchain
• A brief test report confirming performance on the supplied hardware

If you thrive on low-level bit-banging, protocol timing, and squeezing every microsecond out of an MCU, let us talk specifics.

Please do NOT send automatic bids, we will delete those immediately. Send me examples of your work and we can talk further.
