STM32 Heater Control Firmware

I have an STM32-based board dedicated to a heat-control project and need the firmware written from scratch. The sole focus is reliable heater control: reading the on-board temperature sensor, deciding when to energise or cut power to the heating element, and handling any basic safety logic such as over-temperature shut-off.

You’re free to build with STM32CubeIDE, HAL, or bare-metal C, as long as the code is clean, well-commented and easy for me to maintain. Once the project compiles and runs on my board I’ll take care of long-term tuning; I just need the foundation in place and proven on real hardware.

Deliverables
• Fully commented source code and project files
• Brief README covering pin assignments, build environment and flash procedure
• A compiled binary I can flash via ST-Link that turns the heater on and off according to a simple set-point (I’ll provide the exact GPIO pins and sensor type once we start)

Acceptance: after flashing, the heater must switch reliably at the defined temperature threshold with no watchdog resets or crashes over a two-hour bench test.
