RFID Dispenser Prototype Upgrade

I’ve built an early-stage food cart concept and now need the automatic dustbin I’m using as a mock dispenser to respond to an RFID wristband instead of its factory IR sensor. Your main focus will be integrating the RC522 RFID reader so a simple tap from a pre-tagged wristband opens the lid, deducts one credit, shows status with an LED, and closes the lid again after three seconds.

Scope of work
• Remove the stock IR proximity module from the dustbin’s control board and neatly position the RC522 reader in its place.
• Wire the reader to an Arduino Nano, plus a dual-colour LED (green when at least one credit remains, red once all six credits are consumed).
• Write clean, well-commented Arduino code that:
– recognises authorised wristbands,
– allows exactly six lid activations per band, then disables further taps,
– triggers the servo/actuator to open, waits three seconds, then closes,
– debounces multiple reads so one tap equals one credit.
• Demonstrate the finished unit running reliably on my bench.

I will supply the dustbin, RC522, Nano, LEDs, breadboard or jumper wires, and of course wristbands for testing. You may bring extra tools or headers if you prefer.
