PIC MCU Hardware Control Firmware

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I have a PIC micro-controller board that needs robust, production-ready(mass production) firmware focused on hardware control. The project centres on driving several physical interfaces: relays, ADC measurements, an LED 7-segment display. Functionality must be clean, deterministic and ready for a manufacturing hand-off once validated.

Source code should be written in C for MPLAB X with XC8 (or a comparable, freely available toolchain) it's needed for PIC MCU and follow best practices for readability, commenting and version control. Because this design will move straight into production, please keep component timing margins, EMC considerations and in-field firmware upgrade paths in mind.

Deliverables
• Fully documented C source, header files and MPLAB X project
• Pin map and concise README explaining build and flashing steps
• Brief test routine that demonstrates:
 – reliable relay switching via digital outputs
 – stable ADC sampling with calibration hook points
 – correct character and numeric updates on the 7-segment and graphic displays
• A short DFM note highlighting any PCB or BOM adjustments that could simplify large-scale assembly
