ONLY FOR HCM VIETNAM - firmware for a custom PCB, STM32G4X, G-Code to control closed-loop stepper motors
Budget: $3 – $10 USD
Overview
Seeking an experienced firmware developer located in HCM, who can come out to our workshop at Binh Loi, Huyen Binh Chanh, Ho Chi Minh, to create firmware for a custom PCB with an STM32G4X MCU, converting G-Code to control closed-loop stepper motors for a 3+1-axis CNC router/milling machine. The XYZ assembly mills round holes on a PVC pipe. The fourth axis, the pipe revolver, will move the pipes into place and operate independently of the XYZ axes.
Responsibilities
Develop firmware for a custom PCB with an STM32G4X MCU to interpret G-Code and control stepper motors.
Configure motor control for a 3+1 axes CNC system:
X-axis: 1 closed-loop stepper motor
Y-axis: 2 closed-loop stepper motors (operating independently for straightness adjustments)
Z-axis: 4 closed-loop stepper motors (operating independently for straightness adjustments)
Pipe revolver transport: 2 motors on a single connector using the same pulse train.
Program milling trajectories for round holes:
Rough cut with set offset from final diameter.
Fine cut at specified diameter.
Adding logic for 15-20 NPN-sensors
Ensure firmware reliability.
Requirements
Experience with CNC firmware, G-Code processing, and closed-loop stepper motor control.
Proficiency in embedded systems programming for STM32G4X MCUs (C/C++ preferred).
Ability to test and debug firmware at our site at https://maps.app.goo.gl/eVkAiJnhNswzMfPV6
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proven track record with G-Code and stepper motor projects to ensure timely delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with multi-axis CNC systems.
Sufficient spoken English.
Experience with STM32G4X MCU firmware development.
