PCB Designer – Automotive / Industrial Multi-Layer PCB (Schematic Review + Layout)

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced PCB designer to review an existing schematic and complete the PCB layout for an embedded electronics system used in industrial / automotive equipment.

We are looking for an experienced engineer who can review, validate, and finalize the design and produce a production-ready PCB layout.

The PCB will be used in a rugged environment and must follow good automotive / industrial electronics practices.

PCB Requirements:
Multi-layer PCB design (likely 2–4 layers depending on layout optimization)
Board size constraint: 100mm x 125mm maximum
Layout must support compact enclosure packaging
Board may support stacked configuration if necessary
System Components

Typical components used in the design include:
ESP32 (ESP-IDF) or STM32 microcontroller
BG95 Cellular modem module
Power conversion circuitry (buck regulators / DC-DC) EMI/ESD EMC
Current sensing devices
Relay / driver circuitry
Industrial connectors
12V automotive power input

Scope of Work
1. Schematic Review
Verify schematic integrity and electrical correctness
Review power architecture and protection strategy
Validate component selections and footprints
Identify potential reliability or manufacturability issues

2. Automotive / Industrial Design Review
ESD protection strategy
EMI / EMC considerations
Transient and surge protection (load dump considerations)
Input power protection and filtering
Recommendations for automotive-grade components where appropriate

3. PCB Layout
Production-ready multi-layer layout
Proper grounding strategy and power distribution
High-current routing where required
Signal integrity considerations
EMI-conscious layout practices
Thermal considerations where applicable

4. Manufacturing Readiness
Design for manufacturability (DFM)
Design for assembly (DFA)
Clean fabrication outputs (Gerbers, drill files, assembly files, BOM review)
Ideal Skills and Experience
Proven experience designing multi-layer PCBs
Experience with automotive or industrial electronics
Strong understanding of power electronics and embedded systems
Familiar with EMI / ESD protection techniques
Experience designing compact boards with size constraints
Proficient in PCB design tools such as KiCad, Altium, or Eagle
