Modernizing the Menu System of a Custom FlySky FS-i6 Firmware
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm looking for an experienced developer to modernize the menu system of a custom firmware running on a FlySky FS-i6 transmitter.
The Task:
Modernize and redesign the appearance (UI) of the current menu system
Reorganize the existing menu items into a more logical, user-friendly structure
Improve the overall user experience (UX)
Important Context:
The firmware was custom-developed for me in the past, but the source code is no longer available. Only the compiled version already flashed onto the transmitter is accessible. This means the developer must be able to reverse-engineer the existing firmware, or work on top of the existing system without the original source code.
Requirements:
Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller programming
Skills in firmware reverse-engineering / modification without source code
Experience developing custom UI / menu systems in resource-constrained hardware environments
You must own a FlySky transmitter (preferably the FS-i6) for development and testing
Familiarity with the FlySky platform (or similar RC systems) is a plus
Please address the following in your proposal:
Do you have experience with similar firmware projects (FlySky or other RC systems)?
How would you approach this task given that no source code is available?
Do you own a FlySky transmitter for testing purposes?
