MESH Network System for Rover Telemetry + Live Video – Hardware and Firmware

Job ID: 39636103

Budget: ₹5,000 – ₹15,000 INR

I need to design a long-range RF communication system that can support the following items. This is for rovers that will be in fields monitoring crops.

- Mesh networking (multi-node communication and routing. Many-to-many communication is MUST)
- Frequency hopping (for interference resistance and security)
- NLOS (Non-line-of-sight) Long range (minimum 2 km, ideally 5+ km)
- High bandwidth. Video transmission is mandatory. Video quality should be atleast 720p
- Telemetry and video data will be transmitted over the network
- Open-source / off the shelf solutions are acceptable, as long as they can be integrated with our existing system

Basic Requirements:

- Frequency band: 868–915 MHz (preferably 900 MHz ISM band). Other bands such as 2.4Ghz, 5.8Ghz, etc are also acceptable
- Bi-directional communication for telemetry
- Must support mesh network formation between multiple nodes
- Must implement frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) or similar technique
- Should be power-efficient and suitable for field deployment
- Hardware should be open source-friendly and non-chinese
- Must provide schematics, PCB design, firmware, and basic documentation

Deliverables:

- Schematic and PCB layout
- Bill of Materials (easily sourced components)
- Embedded firmware (for FHSS and mesh)
- Basic test software to verify node-to-node communication

Target Use:

- Field communication between multiple mobile nodes
- Reliable communication in non-line-of-sight and interference-prone environments
