KiCad PCB Design & Manufacturing Files for Espresso Machine
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to design a PCB for espresso machine controlling board, an embedded hardware project. The full hardware specifications, requirements, and reference designs have been documented in detail on GitHub.
Documentation: All hardware specifications and reference files are located here: https://github.com/mizrachiran/brewos/tree/main/docs/hardware
Scope of Work: The selected freelancer will be responsible for:
1. Reviewing the Spec: deeply understanding the requirements, component selection, and reference designs provided in the link above.
Schematic Capture: Designing the schematic in KiCad strictly following the provided specification.
2. PCB Layout: Designing the PCB layout with attention to signal integrity, power distribution, and any form-factor constraints mentioned in the docs.
3.Production Files: Generating all necessary files for manufacturing (Gerbers, Drill files, BOM, Pick & Place/CPL).
Key Requirements:
- Strict Adherence to Spec: A lot of effort was invested in the specification. You must follow the defined components, pinouts, and design guidelines without unauthorized deviation.
- Tool: The project must be delivered in KiCad (latest stable version preferred).
Deliverables:
- Complete KiCad Project (Schematic .kicad_sch & PCB .kicad_pcb).
- Gerber & Drill files ready for production (e.g., JLC/PCBWay standard).
- Bill of Materials (BOM) with LCSC/Digikey part numbers where applicable.
- Centroid/Pick & Place file.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience with KiCad
- Experience designing MCUs/embedded systems similar to those in the spec.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow written technical documentation precisely.
Please review the GitHub link above before placing your bid.
