CY7C Firmware Remake for Legacy Product

Job ID: 40027787

Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD

I am refreshing a legacy product that once ran on a discontinued Cypress CY7C series. The only artifact that survived is the compiled HEX file, original schematics; the original codebase is long gone. Our new PCB is complete and waiting for firmware that reproduces—and, where sensible, improves—the original behaviour.

Your task is to analyse or re-implement the HEX, then build a clean, well-documented project in PSoC Creator 4.4 that runs flawlessly on the new hardware. Core functions that must carry over are the existing communication protocols, sensor integrations, and power-management logic. I can supply the old HEX, the original schematic, and the new schematic as soon as we agree on scope .

Deliverables
• PSoC Creator 4.4 project with full source, organised for ongoing maintenance
• Programming files compatible with PSoC Programmer and any required PSoC Designer assets
• Evidence that the firmware drives every retained feature on the new board (bench test logs or short video are fine)
• A concise hand-off document outlining build steps, pin maps, and any deviations from the legacy design

Boards must be shipped if deeper debugging is needed. Because of those shipping logistics, I can only work with freelancers based in the US.

When you reply, include past work that shows comparable Cypress CY7C porting experience so I can gauge fit quickly. If everything aligns, we will move straight to sharing the files and defining milestones.
