Finalize PCB & Electronics Prototype

Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD

I already have an early-stage electrical architecture on paper, but I need an experienced consultant to drive it over the finish line and turn it into a production-ready set of electronics. My top priority is the PCB: component selection, layout, stack-up decisions, impedance control, and all the design-for-manufacture details that will let a board house build it without surprises.

Alongside that, the job covers tightening up the overall architecture, locking in the sensor interface circuitry, and crafting a clean, efficient power-management scheme so the final hardware meets our size, thermal and run-time targets. Once those pieces are solid, we will generate complete manufacturing data and produce a fully functional prototype I can hand to the contract manufacturer.

Deliverables
• Optimised PCB design files (native Altium or KiCad plus Gerbers, drill, pick-and-place)
• Updated schematics and verified electrical architecture
• Power-management block diagram, calculations and test plan
• Sensor interface circuits fully validated on the prototype
• Complete BOM with alternates and costed lead times
• One assembled, tested prototype with a brief validation report

Acceptance criteria: boards pass power-on tests with no re-spins required, sensors report accurate data through our MCU/I²C bus, and quiescent plus peak current fall within the limits outlined during kickoff.
