Hi,
I’m looking for a solid embedded engineer or small team to build a real, production-ready smart gas safety system. This isn’t a quick prototype — it’s for actual use in homes, workshops or small factories, so safety and reliability come first.
What the device needs to do:
• Detect combustible gases, CO, toxic gases, smoke and fire (using MQ-2, MQ-7, MQ-135, flame sensor + temp/humidity)
• Use smart logic (sensor fusion + optional TinyML) to cut false alarms
• Automatically switch on a 180–250V AC fan to clear out bad air
• Send alerts via GSM: SMS + auto phone calls (must work fully offline, no WiFi needed)
• Connect via WiFi to a simple Flutter mobile app for real-time monitoring, history and manual fan control
Main parts (you can suggest better choices):
• ESP32-WROOM-32 as brain
• SIM800L for GSM
• Proper isolated AC-DC power (HLK-PM01 style)
• Relay for high-voltage fan control
• Safety stuff: fuses, MOV, TVS, optocouplers, EMI filter
• Buzzer + LEDs
• Optional: battery backup or gas valve control
What I need from you (full scope):
1. Complete schematic + production-ready PCB (KiCad or EasyEDA, 2-4 layers, good isolation for AC)
2. Firmware on ESP32 (FreeRTOS, sensor handling, decision logic, GSM SMS/calls, fail-safe mode)
3. TinyML (TensorFlow Lite Micro) for better false-alarm reduction – strongly preferred if you have experience
4. Simple Flutter mobile app (dashboard, alerts, manual override, history)
5. Nice 3D enclosure design (wall/ceiling mount, good airflow) – STL + STEP + renders
6. Full manufacturing package: BOM with prices, assembly guide, test/calibration steps, docs
Safety is critical:
• Proper galvanic isolation between AC and low voltage
• Creepage/clearance, surge protection
• Fail-safe (fan defaults safe on fault)
• Ready for basic CE-type compliance thinking
