Dual Device Qi Charging System Design

We're good at lots of things, but not Qi Charging!

Have a need for a Qi Charging expert. We're working on a project that has a charging platform. It will charge TWO Qi charged devices at the same time. The platform will have two separate Qi charging antennas and the circuitry needed to make Qi work. So that's part 1.

The second part: this is the two Qi charged devices. They will each have about 5500 mAh of Lithium battery, so we're probably going to want 15W charging capability. Each device has its own Qi coil, receiver ,and battery charger.

So the overall system consists of 3 parts - one charging platform and two devices. The devices will be retained on the charging platform by magnets, so they do not get dislodged during charging. We have an initial mechanical plan for the coil size and magnets, but would want your feedback to make sure we are going to enable your success.

All electronics components sourced should be available from Digikey, Mouser, or Arrow. If the Qi coils are custom, we'd want full specifications on how to get them made, and a recommended vendor for making the coils.

What do we need from you?

1. The Qi charging platform PCBA with two pads for the devices. Would need the antenna designed, all schematics, BOM and Gerbers for the charging platform (plus firmware - source and object - if needed). The platform should have an LED for each of the devices, that flashes green when charging, is solid green when charged. LED off when device not present.

2. The Qi charging receiver PCBA with the antenna designed, all schematics, BOM, any firmware (source and object) if a processor is used, and recommended Gerber for all components.

3. There is a resistive 5W heating element in the devices, and we want to have 4 settings (5W, 3.5W, 1.5W, off), with a button (can be pads for now, we can work out the actual mechanicals) to cycle between the settings, and a single LED to show the setting (red = 5W, yellow = 3.5W, green = 1.5W, off = off). We would need the control/feedback/regulation circuitry for this - schematic, Gerbers, any firmware (source and object), BOM. Note the switch and LED can be simple pads at this point, we can do a small board to mount the switch and LED appropriately.

4. A willingness to ask questions! We know mechanicals will impact this device, and we're more than willing to share what else we're doing with it (which is really simple) so perhaps you can own the entire electronics package inside the devices.

- LED flashes yellow at 4 Hz when battery < 20% capacity remaining
- When on the charger, flashes green when charging, solid green when fully charged

The maximum size of the charging coil can be 50mm diameter and 7mm thick.
