Project Description
I have an existing PCB based on the Nordic nRF52840 MCU and I need to add a distance-measurement feature relative to a fixed point (for example, a beacon), with an approximate resolution of ±20 cm.
The work includes both hardware modifications/additions to the current PCB and the development of the required firmware to implement distance measurement.
Scope of Work
Proposal and integration of the required hardware solution into the existing PCB (sensors, RF, UWB, RSSI, or other suitable technology).
Firmware development in C for distance measurement.
Work within the SEGGER Embedded Studio environment.
Integration of the new module with the existing firmware.
Basic design and functional documentation.
Technical Requirements
Proven experience with Nordic nRF52, preferably nRF52840.
Embedded C programming.
Experience with BLE, beacons, and/or ranging techniques.
Knowledge of electronic design and PCB modification.
Use of SEGGER Embedded Studio.
Deliverables
Hardware schematic / proposal integrated into the PCB.
Source code for the distance-measurement firmware.
Compilation and usage instructions.
Brief technical documentation.
Estimated Duration
To be defined with the freelancer based on the proposed solution.
