Custom Small-Scale PCB Design Expert Needed

Job ID: 40033241

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I am looking for an experienced hardware engineer to design a small custom PCB that includes:

Required Electronics
1. Low-power Microcontroller
• Must support 1 capacitive-touch / proximity sensing input (simple on/off state).
• Ultra-low power consumption is required.
2. NB-IoT / LTE-M Modem
• Preferred modules: SIM7080, SIM7000, BC66, BC95, SARA-N series, or any equivalent you recommend.
• Must support eSIM or iSIM provisioning (no physical SIM slot required).
3. eSIM / iSIM Support
• The board must include:
• Either: an embedded eSIM footprint (MFF2 package)
• Or: use an NB-IoT module with integrated iSIM
• I will provide the eSIM EID for network activation during testing.
4. Power System
• Powered by CR2032 coin cell OR a small Li-Po battery (100–150 mAh).
• Deep-sleep mode required.
5. Sensor Input
• The PCB must expose one metal contact pad that will be connected externally to a single metal pin.
• No mechanical design needed — just the PCB pad routed to the MCU capacitive input.

Specific Firmware Behavior Required

(If you can provide basic firmware — optional but preferred)
• MCU continuously monitors the capacitive/contact input.
• If the input changes from Touch → No Touch and remains in that state for ≥ 0.5 seconds,
the MCU should:
1. Wake the NB-IoT modem
2. Send a small payload (HTTP/MQTT)
3. Return to deep sleep
• If the input returns to Touch again afterward, MCU logs the state (no need for additional logic).

Board Specs
• Approx size: 45 mm × 25 mm (flexible).
• Prefer 2-layer PCB unless otherwise needed.
• Clean, compact layout optimized for low-power operation.

Deliverables
1. Full schematic
2. PCB layout + Gerber files
3. BOM
4. 3D rendering
5. Optional: Basic firmware implementing 0.5s state-change logic + NB-IoT message sending

Important Notes
• This is strictly a hardware design project.
• No enclosure / industrial design required.
• No additional product context will be provided — only the electronic requirements above.
• Stability, clean routing, and low-power operation are essential.

Skills to Add
• PCB Design
• KiCad / Altium / Eagle
• Embedded Systems
• NB-IoT / LTE-M
• eSIM / iSIM
• IoT Hardware
• Low-Power Design
• Embedded C
The payment will be after testing the board that it is working
