Custom Dog RFID Fabric Tag
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a single RFID tag that I can sew into my dog’s harness. The chip must arrive pre-encoded with one specific numeric ID that I will provide after the contract starts. No other data is required. I haven’t locked myself into a frequency yet—LF (134.2 kHz), HF/NFC or even UHF could all work—so feel free to recommend the best option for short-range, reliable reads in outdoor conditions.
The finished tag has to be thin, flexible and safe to launder, because it will live inside fabric. Durability against mud, rain and the occasional swim is essential.
Deliverables
• One fully programmed RFID inlay or fabric-ready tag carrying only the supplied ID number
• A brief spec sheet listing chip model, protocol (e.g., ISO 11784/11785, ISO 15693, EPC Gen2, etc.), read range and operating frequency
• A quick test report or screenshot proving the ID is correctly written and readable with standard equipment
• Basic sewing or attachment guidance so I don’t damage the antenna when installing the tag
If you can handle small-batch production, let me know; otherwise a single prototype is fine for now.
