Custom 11” AMOLED E-Reader

I’m putting together a dedicated, distraction-free reading device and need a hardware specialist who can take it from concept to working prototype. The display has to be an AMOLED panel of at least 11 inches—no compromises on that vibrant contrast. This will be a reading-only tablet, so efficiency, eye comfort, and battery life have priority over raw processing power.

Wireless connectivity is essential for loading books and updates; Wi-Fi is mandatory, Bluetooth is optional. In addition, I want physical page-turn buttons on the bezel so users can flip pages without touching the screen. Touch input itself is welcome but not a requirement.

Here’s what I’m expecting from you:

• Source and validate the 11″+ AMOLED display and its driver board
• Design the main PCB around a low-power processor that can render EPUB and PDF smoothly
• Integrate Wi-Fi, power management, and a battery capable of at least 10 hours of continuous reading
• Provide an enclosure concept (STEP file or similar) ready for 3D printing or CNC milling
• Deliver minimal firmware that boots straight into a reader UI—open-source stacks are fine

Deliverables must include a complete BOM with supplier links, schematics, Gerbers, compiled firmware, and a short demo proving the prototype meets these acceptance criteria: 200 ppi or better text clarity, wireless download of a 20 MB EPUB in under 30 seconds, and page-turn button latency below 150 ms.
