RC Control Station Prototype Development
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
Subject: Prototype Request – RC Control Station with Large Display (Followed by Bulk Order)
Hello,
I am developing a commercial interactive entertainment system and I am looking for a partner to design and manufacture a prototype electronic control station.
⸻
Project Overview
The product is a tabletop station that holds an RC controller and includes a larger display screen showing a countdown timer. This system will be used in shopping malls and public events, so visibility, durability, and reliability are very important.
I will provide a reference image for the overall design concept.
⸻
Core Functionality
The system should operate as follows:
1. An RC controller rests in a holder on the station
2. When the controller is lifted, the system automatically starts a 3-minute countdown
3. The display shows a clear, easy-to-read countdown (3:00 → 0:00)
4. When the timer reaches zero, the display shows:
“Game Over – Move to Next Zone”
5. When the controller is returned to the holder, the system resets automatically
⸻
Display Requirement (Important)
• The display must be larger and clearly visible from standing distance
• Suggested size: 2.4 inch to 5 inch screen
• High brightness and good contrast are required for public environments
• The display should be easy to read quickly (large numbers, simple layout)
⸻
Technical Requirements
• Microcontroller: ESP32 (preferred) or similar
• Display: larger screen (not small OLED)
• Detection: magnetic switch, reed switch, or equivalent
• Power: USB-C or stable 5V input
• System must be stable for continuous daily use
⸻
Mechanical / Design Requirements
• Integrated controller holder
• Clean and professional enclosure
• No exposed wiring
• Durable for repeated public use
• Compact and stable on a tabletop
⸻
What I Need From You
1. One fully assembled and working prototype
2. Complete wiring and internal assembly
3. Programmed and tested unit (plug-and-play)
4. Source code
5. Wiring diagram
6. Bill of materials (parts list)
⸻
Production Plan
• I would like to start with 1 prototype unit
• If the result is successful, I am ready to immediately place an order for 12–15 units
⸻
Shipping
Please include shipping cost to Canada in your quotation.
⸻
When You Apply, Please Include
• Examples of similar projects (ESP32 / display systems / electronics devices)
• Estimated cost (prototype + shipping)
• Estimated timeline
• Your recommended display type and approach
⸻
I am ready to begin immediately with the right partner and am looking for a long-term supplier if the prototype is successful.
Thank you, and I look forward to your response.
