Build a Battery-Powered Retail “Jackpot Button” (Arduino + Audio)
Project Description
We are an Australian food brand, looking for an experienced electronics / Arduino developer to design and build a battery-powered interactive push button for an in-store marketing campaign.
Customers press a large mushroom-style button mounted near a freezer or fridge. Each press plays a short sound. After a random number of presses, a jackpot sound plays and the customer wins a prize.
This is an initial single-unit prototype, with potential follow-up work for multiple units.

• Large mushroom head push button (easy to press, durable)
• Each press:
• Increments an internal counter
• Plays a random non-success sound (~5 seconds)
• After a random number of presses (e.g. 3,000–7,000):
• Plays a jackpot sound (up to 30 seconds, 2–3 variations)
• Automatically resets
• LED feedback on press and jackpot

• Arduino Nano or similar microcontroller
• MP3 playback module (DFPlayer Mini or DFPlayer Pro)
• Speaker suitable for retail environment
• Battery powered (10,000–20,000 mAh)
• USB-C charging
• Robust ABS enclosure
• Mountable to glass freezer door or flat surface using strong adhesive (e.g. 3M VHB)
• Clean wiring and safe battery handling
