Alphanumeric Smart Lock Prototype mechanical device
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I need a working prototype of a mechanical lock that opens only after the correct alphanumeric code is entered on a keypad. The unit must recognise and store multiple user codes and immediately re-engage (auto-lock) after a set number of failed attempts.
Beyond the core brief, the mechanical action should be compact enough for a residential door latch or cabinet bolt, driven by a small motor or solenoid that you specify. An onboard microcontroller is fine—Arduino, STM32 or a comparable platform—so long as the firmware is open, well-documented and allows me to add or delete user codes through the keypad itself.
Deliverables
• 3-D CAD files and exploded assembly drawings of the lock housing and drive mechanism
• Schematic, PCB layout (KiCad, Eagle or similar) and bill of materials for the control electronics
• Fully commented source code for keypad handling, user-management logic and the auto-lock routine
• A short setup guide and a demo video that proves the lock recognises at least three separate user codes, rejects incorrect entries, and relocks after consecutive failures

The device must reliably cycle 1,000 open/close operations without mechanical failure, power at 5–12 V DC, and fit within a 60 mm × 80 mm × 30 mm envelope.
