Sendy + Amazon SES Email Infrastructure Setup

Job Description: Email Infrastructure Consultant (Sendy + Amazon SES)

We are looking for a technically skilled email infrastructure consultant to set up a mass mailing system for sending 50,000 emails per day (1.5 million/month) using Sendy + Amazon SES, hosted on an AWS EC2 instance.

You will configure and deploy all components end-to-end, ensuring high deliverability, authenticated domains, bounce/complaint tracking, and a user-friendly interface for campaign management.

Scope of Work
Server Setup (AWS EC2)

Launch and configure an Ubuntu or Amazon Linux EC2 instance

Install and configure LAMP stack (Apache/Nginx, PHP 7.4+, MySQL/MariaDB)

Secure server (basic hardening, firewall/ports)

Sendy Installation

Upload and install Sendy (license provided)

Configure config.php and database

Ensure access via our subdomain (e.g., email.ourdomain.com)

Enable SSL (Let’s Encrypt preferred)

Amazon SES Integration

Assist with Amazon SES setup (if not already)

Verify domain in SES and configure:

SPF

DKIM

DMARC

Move SES from sandbox to production

Set up SMTP or API credentials for Sendy

Bounce & Complaint Management

Configure Amazon SNS with SES for bounce/complaint feedback loop

Ensure Sendy handles list cleanup automatically

Testing & Demonstration

Upload sample mailing list (CSV)

Run test campaign

Show reports: opens, clicks, bounces, complaints

Demonstrate how to schedule campaigns, lists, and segments

Optional but Preferred

Advise on IP warm-up schedule

Provide basic user training or a quickstart guide

Requirements

Proven experience with Amazon SES + Sendy

Experience configuring AWS EC2 instances

Strong understanding of email deliverability, authentication protocols, and mass mailing best practices

Ability to work independently and explain setup clearly
