Email & PR Support for Indiegogo Campaign – Vampire-Hunting Short Film (Billy Fearless)
Project Description:
We are launching an Indiegogo campaign for Billy Fearless — a proof-of-concept short film blending coming-of-age drama, anti-bullying themes, and vampire-hunting horror-comedy-action.
The campaign page is already built — now we need expert support to activate our audience, generate buzz, and launch effectively.
We need a freelancer to:
Set up or optimize our mailing list (Mailchimp or similar)
Write 2–3 email templates (pre-launch teaser, launch day, update email)
Create a 1-page press release or media kit
Help pitch 15–30 horror/film blogs, local press, or podcasts
Provide light support on social content ideas or posting plan
About the Film:
Billy Fearless follows a quiet, bullied teen who discovers he may be the only one standing between his school and a secret vampire invasion.
It’s emotional, funny, and packed with supernatural action. Think Kick-Ass meets Fright Night, with real-world stakes.
This short is a proof of concept for a larger feature, and the Indiegogo campaign is our first step.
Ideal Freelancer:
Experience with film crowdfunding (Indiegogo or Kickstarter)
Email marketing (Mailchimp/ConvertKit/Substack)
PR experience (especially indie film or genre press)
Strong English writing skills
Bonus: understanding of horror, teen, or underdog story audiences
Budget & Offer:
Fixed budget: $418 USD
Payment split by milestone (e.g., Email + PR Writing / Execution)
Plus: 0.5% share of net profits from the eventual Billy Fearless feature film if produced
