Gmail block emails

Gmail blocks email messages from my domain. My site script cannot even get e-mail verification messages to users who register using a Gmail account. Outlook, Yahoo, etc. are all working fine. And Gmail has recognized me as the proper/rightful owner of the domain.
Note: I do not send bulk email messages on marketing, sales, etc. I occasionally send out a newsletter, alerting users to something new on my site. I also have SMTP working on my domain as Outlook, Yahoo and others are receiving those messages.
