Fix Gmail Soft Bounce Error (550-5.7.1 Unsolicited Mail Block) in Google Workspace
Budget: $10 – $60 USD
Despite valid SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records and adherence to Google’s bulk-sending guidelines, our outgoing emails from Google Workspace are still being soft-bounced by Gmail with error 550-5.7.1 “Unsolicited mail blocked.” We also route part of our traffic through a third-party platform, so reputation, alignment, or list-hygiene issues may be contributing.
We need a deliverability specialist to:
Diagnose the root cause of the 5.7.1 block (DNS alignment, IP/domain reputation, envelope configuration, or content filters).
Apply and document the required fixes in Google Workspace (Admin console, DNS) and the third-party platform.
Validate the solution with live test sends until Gmail accepts mail without bouncing.
Ensure our domain is not on blocklists and review authentication settings.
Provide best practices for long-term deliverability and inbox placement.
Deliverables:
Investigation plan (steps + tools, e.g., Gmail Postmaster Tools, header analysis).
Implementation of fixes.
Confirmation of normal Gmail inbox delivery in logs.
Goal: Restore reliable Gmail deliverability and prevent future unsolicited-mail blocks.
