Set Up Mail Server on Ubuntu VPS (Postfix, Dovecot, SSL, Webmail)
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
I need an experienced Linux system administrator to set up a secure, self-hosted mail server on my Ubuntu VPS.
The mail server should be configured to send, receive, and manage emails for one or more domains, with strong spam protection, SSL/TLS encryption, and a user-friendly webmail interface.
Requirements:
Configure Postfix (SMTP), Dovecot (IMAP/POP3)
Set up SSL/TLS encryption (Let’s Encrypt or self-signed)
Implement DKIM, SPF, and DMARC for email authentication
Enable Webmail access (e.g., Roundcube or RainLoop)
Ensure deliverability to major providers (Gmail, Outlook, etc.)
Basic spam and virus protection (Amavis/SpamAssassin/ClamAV)
Create user accounts or virtual mailboxes
DNS guidance (MX, TXT records)
