We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to bridging communities through education, cultural programs, and advocacy. Our primary focus is language education, offering both in-person and online classes for all ages. As our programs and impact grow, so must our digital presence.
Project Description: We are seeking an experienced web designer to lead a full redesign and redevelopment of our website. Our current site is built on WordPress and we are looking to stay with WordPress. The goal of this project is to modernize the design, streamline navigation, improve mobile responsiveness, and make content updates more streamlined and accessible for non-technical staff — while significantly improving our SEO and strengthening our online search presence.
Project Scope:
- Platform: WordPress (Elementor builder preferred)
- Type: Site revamp and hosting migration.
- Pages: Approx. 15–20 (Home, About, Programs, Classes, Accreditation, Contact, Blog, Donate Button)
- We already have a theme purchased but it will need a lot of modifications to get to what we want.
- Timeline: Must be completed within 2 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
-Build and style website using Elementor and provided content
-Execute a treemap/navigation structure provided by the team
-Implement SEO best practices (metadata, URL slugs, image alt text)
-Integrate contact form, blog, donation button, and Mailchimp signup
-Ensure mobile optimization and accessibility
-Migrate existing content and incorporate new media assets
-Transfer domain and hosting to our new provider (Hostinger)
-Provide documentation or quick training for staff to manage site updates
Requirements:
-Proficient in WordPress, Elementor, and site migration
-Strong design aesthetic with a portfolio of clean, modern, and responsive websites
-Experience with nonprofit or educational websites a plus
-Strong attention to design detail and user experience
-Familiarity with SEO and performance optimization
-Create a custom CSS stylesheet for consistent styling across the site
-Ability to communicate clearly and meet a tight deadline

We are aiming for a site launch within 2 weeks of project initiation.
