Budget: $30 – $300 USD

I have 4 containers that gather plastics, papers, paper cups, and metals. I want to sense each container's fill and detect if the container's door is closed or not. Then those data should be reported to an online free IOT platform and visualized. Also, the IOT platform will tell if a container has been evacuated.


Sensors Requirements:
Each container should sense its fill every 5 minutes.
Each container should sense its door every 5 minutes.
Sensors data should be reported to an IOT platform every 5 minutes.
When any container's door opened, it should immediately report that on the IOT platform.
The IOT platform should identify the evacuation process by knowing the status of the door and fill level.
The sensors data should be reported to the IOT platform using the cellular network available in Saudi Arabia.
All data reported to the IOT platform should be timestamped.
The IOT platform should visualize the percentage of the fill level and door status.
The IOT platform should list all reported data in a table format the contains the following:
reading ID.
Date.
Time.
Fill level.
Door status.
The containers might be placed in areas that can reach 50 C temperature.
The power supply will be from 220 V AC electricity.
There should be an option to power the product from a battery that can survive high temperatures and last for at least two months.
The battery status should be reported to the IOT platform.

This is a proof of concept project, so I suggest using available breakout and development boards such as Arduino, Nucleo, or .. etc to achieve the product requirements if applicable. also, use all free online tools.

All source codes.
Bill of Material.
All schematics and PCB layout if applicable.
Assembly manual.
All Hex files needed to program the product.
All programming tools.
Support until all testing and validation is done.

After receiving the deliverables, I will assemble and program the sensors and mount them on the containers then start testing
