joystick controlled zero turn mower

This is a pretty simple straight forward project. I am wanting to drive a zero turn lawn mower with a hard wired joystick. needs to be heavy duty joystick to hold up to some abuse. On the drive motors should only have to turn a small shaft. Not sure of if actuators or some kind of servo motor to turn it. will be a 12v system to run off of. This would need to be easily repeatable because I will eventually build several of these.
