The specifications of the stepped-impedance LPF under consideration are:

-          Order of the filter N ≥ 3

-          Cut-off frequency = 2.45 GHz (ISM Band B: 2.4 -2.5 GHz)

-          Source/load (input/output) impedance = 50 Ω

-          Maximum dimensions of the LPF, excluding the SMA ports, is 40 mm x 15 mm

-          Relative permittivity of the substrate dielectric material (FR-4, lossy)

-          Height of the substrate, h = 1.6 mm

-          Passband ripple 0.1 dB

 

1.   You will design and optimise it using CST software.

2.   Write the report that explains your research, design choices/decisions, optimisation process, simulation results, and conclusions.
