14-bit SAR ADC Optimization

Job ID: 39208856

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I'm developing a 14-bit SAR ADC with a 40 MHz bandwidth, 5 fJ per conversion step, and a power consumption of 5 mW. I'm utilizing Cadence's 12 nm Global Foundries FINFET technology through my lab's remote server.

I've designed three components of the ADC: a comparator, SAR logic, and a DAC. The comparator is a cross-coupled pair with two stages, and the drains of each stage in each half are tied together. The DAC is a capacitive DAC.

The primary focus of this project is to enhance the SAR logic, which is currently the weakest part of the design.

Ideal skills and experience for this job include:
- Extensive knowledge and experience with ADC design
- Proficient in Cadence tools, specifically for the Global Foundries FINFET technology
- Strong background in digital design and specifically SAR logic
- Experience in performance optimization and system-level integration
- Understanding of power consumption and efficiency in design
- Skills in validation and testing of integrated circuits.

Your task will be to analyze the SAR logic and propose improvements or optimizations. Additionally, please assist in the overall system-level integration of the ADC. The ultimate goal is to meet the specified performance requirements of the final ADC.
