2amp constant current regulator for solenoid
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We need to limit the current that a solenoid can draw, so that it doesn't overheat.
Vin = 24vdc (source voltage @ 19amps)
Iout = 1.9 - 2amp (narrow window)
I'm thinking an LED driver or LM2596, but will be guided by you. However, I will need to hear your direction before commiting to you for the project as I've had previous projects that were train-wreck designs after I awarded the project.
As always:
1. Project awarded once we're confident in the design direction (what IC, general feedback as to design)
2. Milestone 1 (50%) on supply of a circuit with workings out
3. Milestone 2 (50%) after we test it.
