Underwater camera leak detection circuit
Budget: $750 – $1,500 CAD
Need circuit design, PCB layout in altium, programing and functioning prototype
Finally need a simple Android App to change settings and also to see the pressure graph in a smart phone.
The circuit is used to detect a leak in an underwater camera housings. There are two modes of leak detection: vacuum pressure and water ingress. Vacuum is detected by a cheap MEMs barometric pressure sensor. The housing is sealed and a vacuum is drawn. If the housing maintains vacuum the housing is leak proof. Water is detected by a two-wire prong short circuit (one wire is MCU I/O at high value and the other is ground, when I/O is low, short circuit, water is detected).
CIRCUIT BLOCK DIAGRAM
Circuit consists of a CR2032 as power source, pressure sensor, bi-colored LED, a buzzer, and a tactile switch.
The vacuum pressure sensor should be able to measure down to 10-20 kPa absolute. Pressure measurement is only for indication that vacuum is achieved. Precision is not important. Bi-colored LED is used to show the operator that the unit is on and that no leak is detected and that the negative pressure is maintained. Buzzer will provide audible alarm. Tactile switch is used to turn on the unit. see the block diagram in pfd provided.
Only engineers familiar with programing nRF52810 bluetooth low energy should apply.
they must demonstrate ability work with the MS5607 sensor and be able to communicate with I2C. Must demonstrate designing an programing the nRF52810 in low power and sleep modes
Please see the PDF carefully to understand the requirement
