Touch indicator

I am looking for a design for a battery operated light that is activated if a ball hits a strike plate using readily available materials. The strike plate would be a round cylinder 108mm in diameter and 20mm wide +/- (Flexible) The ball striking plate is 95mm in diameter. The light would be at the end of a 1m pole. The light would need to time out in 10 sec or so which should be adjustable somehow if possible. The batteries and other electronic components would be housed inside the 108mm cylinder that is 100mm tall.
