Temperature and humidity sensor
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
I would like to create a temperature and humidity sensor based on a esp12f and the SHT31 chips. It would be alimented by 2 AA batteries. The antenna of the esp12f should be outside of the PCB. The whole assembly should be placed in a box.
The deliverable are the PCB designs, the BOM, and the box design.
Here are the pin connections for the ESP12F:
- GPIO16 should be connected to RESET.
- EN/CH_PC pin should be pulled-up with a 10k resistor.
- GPIO15 pin should be pulled-up with a 10k resistor.
- There should be a push-button connected between RESET and GND. Normally disconnected.
- There should be a push-button connected between GPIO00 and GND. Normally disconnected.
- GPIO04 should be connected to the SDA pin of the SHT31
- GPIO05 should be connected to the SCL pin of the SHT31
- There should be female connectors for the VCC, GND, TX, and RX pins.
Here are the connections for the SHT31
- VDD/5 should be connected to the VCC
- VSS/8 should be connected to the GND
- There should be a 100nF capacitor between the VDD/5 and VSS/8 pins.
- The SDA/1 pin should be pulled-up with a 10k resistor.
- The SCL/4 pin should be pulled-up with a 10k resistor.
- The R/7 pin should be connected to GND.
- The ADDR/2 pin should be connected to GND.
- The ALERT/3 pin should be left floating.
- The RESET/6 pin should be connected to VCC.
- Die pad should be soldered.
- The PCB around the SHT31D chip should be milled to reduce heat conduction and mass or placed on a flex PCB
