I need a compact, efficient Doherty power amplifier that operates below 6 GHz for a telecommunications front-end. The target output is in the 1 – 10 W range while maintaining high linearity and efficiency under an OFDM waveform.

Scope
The work starts with architecture selection and proceeds through load-pull or ADS/Momentum simulations, matching-network design, bias optimization, and linearity/efficiency trade-offs appropriate for 5G-type signals. GaN process is proposed to delivers the stated power and meets ACLR/EVM requirements typical for OFDM.

Deliverables
• Complete schematic with component values and device model references
• Simulation report covering gain, PAE, ACPR or EVM under OFDM drive, and thermal estimate
• Layout-ready PCB footprint or MMIC mask layers (Gerber/GDSII) with clear layer call-outs
• Brief design note explaining design choices, tuning points, and recommended test setup

Acceptance criteria
The finalized design must show ≥ 40 % PAE at 6 dB back-off, meet the 10 -20 W output spec, and keep distortion within the standard 5G NR mask for sub-6 GHz bands in simulation.
