Project Description:

Let’s build something impactful—an Automated Solar Panel Cleaning and Monitoring Robot that enhances solar panel efficiency and ensures long-term durability through intelligent, waterless cleaning and real-time fault detection.
We're looking for a capable and experienced team or freelancer who can deliver a complete product-ready solution including mechanical design, electronics, and a web-based control/monitoring application.
Key Features Needed:
Web Application for Control & Monitoring:
• Manual controls: Forward, Backward, Start, Stop, Reset
• Battery level indicator
• Auto-return & park to docking/charging station on low battery
• Monitor solar panel temperatures via sensors
• Alert system for overheated/damaged panels
o Example alert format: Grid 34 → String 12 → Panel 89 (G34S12P89)
• Dashboard for real-time system status and logs

Hardware Requirements:
• Full mechanical design
• IP-rated motors suitable for outdoor environments
• Motor drivers compatible with selected motors
• High-efficiency batteries
• Sensors:
o Temperature sensors for panel surface (IR or thermal imaging)
o Motor & battery temperature sensors
o Self-alignment sensors (IR or other proximity/gyroscopic types)

• Docking station design (solar-powered self-charging station)
• Materials selection:
o Complete BOM for chassis, gears, microfiber cleaning brushes, wheels, etc.
o Include injection molding parts if required for scale manufacturing

Electronics & Firmware:
• Microcontroller: STM32 or similar performance controller
• Communication:
o LoRaWAN for long-range telemetry
o Wi-Fi for local real-time control
• Custom PCB Design:
o Integration of all sensors and modules
o Protection, power distribution, and smart features
• Battery management and safety systems
Deliverables:
• Complete CAD & mechanical files (ready for prototyping and manufacturing)
• PCB schematics & Gerber files
• Fully functional Web App (UI/UX + Backend)
• Firmware for the microcontroller
• Complete Bill of Materials (BoM) with all specifications
• Documentation for assembly, testing, and deployment
