7 Segment LED Scoreboard for Cornhole
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I want to build scoreboards into my cornhole boards. I thought I had it figured out, but need help.
I have already built the boards (photo attached) and bought what I thought I needed to light and control the scoreboards.
I have them set up for 7 segment displays. I intend to put a small strip of 3 LED’s into each of the 7 segments on each number. So there will be two, two digit displays on each board. I would like one controller to control both boards at the same time. Score would need to run from 0-21. I am open to ideas on how to adjust the score. I have considered Bluetooth to iPhone but think maybe an independent hand helps remote would be best.
All items I have are 12v. I have a 12v power source as well as 12v LED lights. I have also purchased several Sparkfun Large Digit Driver TPIC6C596 shift registers. I also have a couple Arduino Mega controllers to use on the project.
